About Us

Matt Hunt

I started Djing in 1992, working for a friend of the family. I was doing parties to start with but then progressed onto doing mainly weddings.

After taking a few years off, I found my passion for music again and when I found out a neighbour had his own company, it wasn’t long before he asked me if I wanted to get back into DJing, needless to say I took him up on his offer. In the 5 or so years with his company, I became the companies most wanted DJ.

I am very good at reading the crowd and love nothing more than seeing a full dance floor.  I have knowledge of a wide range of music from the 50s to top 40, although my specialties are the 80s and Aussie rock. I can also offer my services as MC not only for Weddings but also Corporate and Sporting Functions.

I have been the MC for the Curtan University mid year Ball since 2009, an event that has upwards of 350 people attend.

DJ Yogi B

Peter's interest in DJing started in 1984, when he was in nightclubs watching the likes of, Steve Barrington, Steve Spinner and Birdie, spin their magic on vinyl. Every song played at the then famous "Club A" in Scarborough, Peter had either, bought borrowed or stole just to keep up with the music played in the clubs. Eventually he started doing birthday parties, friends gatherings and some informal functions.

In 1987, he did a DJ course run by Steve Spinner, and honed his mixing, scratching, andgeneral microphone skills. After joining the Army Reserve, in 1988, and picking up the nickname "Yogi", Peter turned it into his DJ and business name. From then on everybody knew him as "DJ Yogi-B"!!!

After being on the road for nearly 6 years, working for different companies, he got a job as aDJ working at Geremiah's nite club as the late shift resident DJ. For five and a half year's DJ Yogi-B spun his tunes to the delight of the crowds that use to come out and see him. He kept the crowd partying till the wee hours of the morning to the sweet tunes of his favourite, Hip Hop and R&B sounds.

When the time came and Geremiah's shut down, DJ Yogi-B started back on the road again! This time entering the world of weddings as well as the usual parties and has been doing so ever since. In 2007 DJ Yogi-B met up with another up and coming DJ in Matt Hunt and after being unhappy working for someone else, they decided to join forces and DJ Yogi-B joined Almost Midnight Entertainment.

Brett's interest in music began from a young age.  From his early childhood, he wasconstantly exposed to all forms of music.  As he grew older, Brett started attending the various night clubs throughout Perth and leading clubs around the world … an interest in DJing was born!

After working in hospitality for six years, Brett saw how crucial a good DJ was to have a memorable and enjoyable function.  Eventually, he decided he would try his hand at DJing.  Once he had seen how much satisfaction came from providing tunes for people to dance to, he decided to join us at Almost Midnight Entertainment.

Brett has honed his skills by attending countless functions with Matt & Peter before getting behind the decks.  He has DJed 21st celebrations, corporate functions and private parties, leaving the clientele very satisfied.

Brett has knowledge of all types of music from 60s to top 40, with a passion for hip hop, dance and breaks. Brett is young and knows what a young crowd wants.
